As the world grapples with the spread of COVID-19, the community of Cape Cod has been rising to the occasion, in signature fashion. Times such as this one are yet another reminder of what a special place our peninsula is, and how blessed we are to live here. If you can say the same, or if you’re considering making a move here, consider yourself very lucky. Although we are best known for our coastal landscape, our current new normal is showcasing the people and places who are the backdrop of this unique slice of America.
Doctors and nurses are working around the clock to ensure they are providing the best health care possible to those affected by COVID-19 on Cape Cod. We are truly blessed to have them in our community.
Teachers and administrators have been forced to think outside-the-box on the fly, utilizing technology to stay connected to their students, both intellectually and emotionally. Schools are making sure children stay nourished, providing breakfast and lunch for pick-up since school is currently not in session, and educators are distributing i-Pads so that all children have equal opportunities for distance learning.
The service industry, in all its many facets – from dining to hotels – is also learning to navigate new challenges. Restaurants known for their ambiance are reinventing themselves as takeout spots, and mom and pop markets and grocery stores are hustling from Falmouth to Provincetown making deliveries, in an effort to reduce the need for social interaction and flatten the curve of this global virus.
In real estate, we too are navigating a new normal, placing even more emphasis on safety and cleanliness, for us and you. Although we always go above and beyond to ensure our clients are stepping into a pristine new setting, we are doing our part to slow the spread by practicing social distancing in our own personal and professional lives, and utilizing enhanced safety practices during home inspections and other standard aspects of the business. We’re also offering virtual services such as virtual tours, electronic signatures, wire transfers and more. Since we all have a lot more time at home now, take advantage of the time and curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and peruse our website. Your future home is calling.
In the meantime, we send our best wishes to you and your family that you stay safe and healthy. We’re all in this together.
