The Lower Cape consists of the towns of Harwich, Brewster, Chatham and Orleans.
Harwich is a very quaint town. Harwich Port, which is located on the South side of Harwich, is close to the beaches and Wychmere Harbor and has a charming main street.
Chatham offers many historic landmarks. As you walk Main Street you’ll visit many shops and restaurants. At the Chatham Fish Pier, you can watch the fishermen bring in their catch. In Chatham you can dine at the Chatham Bars Inn and explore the notorious home of the great white shark.
Brewster has so many beautiful places to explore, beaches and nature. Nickerson State Park, in Brewster, is great for camping, bike riding, walking the trails and soaking up the sun on the stretch of beaches.
Orleans is the last town before you hit the outer Cape area. In Orleans you can explore Rock Harbor, Nauset Beach or take a nature and wildlife tour where you’ll see seals and maybe even get to see a great white shark in Nantucket Sound.
